From an antique silver market just outside of London, we are so pleased to have found this charming Vintage English Sterling Silver Egg Cup & Spoon Set beautifully crafted in precious sterling silver. Consisting of a gold-washed sterling silver egg cup with its very own diminutive spoon, the handsome set makes a striking presentation in its original presentation box.

Crafted of brilliant, bright sterling and fully hallmarked with a date stamp for 1933, the graceful cup's silhouette is enhanced by a sweet rolled rim which serves to elevate the stature of the humble egg nestled within. Produced by esteemed Birmingham silversmith, Arthur Price & Co., sets such as these were often given as christening gifts. Today they make a stylish way to enhance the morning repast or anytime 'eggies and soldiers' might suit the mood. 

After spending two decades learning every aspect of the cutlery trade and moonlighting in the makeshift silver studio he set up in the family living room, Price founded his own silverworks in 1902.
