Antique Silverplate & Cut Crystal Dish
Antique Silverplate & Cut Crystal Dish
$275.00
Recently arrived from a silver market in the north of England, we are so pleased to offer this sparkling Antique Silverplate and Cut Crystal Dish produced by the long-shuttered Parkin & Marshall silversmiths of Sheffield.
With an elegant, flared silhouette, the crystal dish sits gracefully within its gleaming silverplate frame. Intricately cut in a lovely pattern that catches the light from every angle with an etched border of grape leaves above, it is crowned by a regal yet romantic lid adorned with flowers and scrolling leaves. Rising at center, a majestic finial befitting the lush aesthetic of the Victorian era caps this work of art.
At the base, an elevated ring fashioned into a twisted rope motif encircles the grand circumference holding the removable dish securely in place. Suspended above four dimensional paw feet, the silver support platform dramatically rims the central vessel, reflecting light towards the myriad facets of the stunning cut glass.
Whether for candies, jam, butter or condiments, this elegant Victorian masterpiece promises to become a rare and stunning addition to your silver collection.
