Vintage Paris Beer Bottle
Vintage Paris Beer Bottle
$72.00
With all the charms of 1940s Paris, these sturdy amber glass beer bottles are decorated with the brand names of long-shuttered Parisian breweries.
The Lutèce Biere takes its name from the historic Roman name for Paris and this dark, bock style lager was brewed and bottled at the Brasserie* Nouvelle de Lutèce that was once located in the 13th arrondissement of Paris. Each of the Lutèce bottles are decorated with variations of the Paris coat of arms complete with the city's Latin motto: "Fluctuat Nec Mergitur" (Tossed By The Seas, But Not Sunk).
The Karcher Bière was another bock style beer that was brewed in Paris and bottled at the Karcher brewery once located in the 20th arrondissement.
These charming bottles all have their original swing-top metal clasps and porcelain stoppers. Mementoes of a bygone Paris, they are sure to be a stylish addition to your home bar decor.
*For most English speakers, a brasserie is primarily thought of as an informal French restaurant, but the word actually comes from the Middle French verb "brasser" which means "to brew". The word brasserie in French actually translates as brewery.
Strictly one-of-a-kind and subject to prior sale. In very good vintage condition with wear to the porcelain stoppers as shown in the alternate images. Measures 12.5"H x 3.25". Please choose specific bottle from the drop down menu above.
