Fresh from a silver market in the north of England, this sparkling Antique Silverplate and Cut Glass Dish was produced by the celebrated Birmingham silversmiths Daniel & Arter. Pairing brilliantly patterned glass with beautifully engraved silverplate, it is a wonderful example of the elaborate serving pieces that brought beauty and ceremony to the Victorian and Edwardian table.

At the center, a removable cut glass dish sparkles with a deeply textured diamond pattern, its scalloped rim rising above a handsome silverplate stand. Both the broad base and fitted lid are richly engraved with trailing ivy leaves and berries, creating an elegant botanical motif that encircles the piece. A beautifully detailed finial crowns the lid, providing the perfect finishing flourish while allowing easy access to whatever treat lies within.
