Originally formed as the Onondaga Pottery Company (O.P. Co.) in 1871, this pioneering manufacturer would eventually make the town of Syracuse, New York synonymous with American-made china. Named Onondaga for its home county, O.P. Co. products began sporting a “Syracuse China” back-stamp in 1895. As the first American company to produce high quality vitreous china, Syracuse was a top choice for hotels, clubs, airplanes, trains, cruise ships, and restaurants all over the world.

With its timeless, homey quality, this adorable soup cup was traditionally used for the cup of soup or chili with crackers that might have accompanied a meal.
