Originally formed as the Onondaga Pottery Company (O.P. Co.) in 1871, this pioneering manufacturer would eventually make the town of Syracuse, New York synonymous with American-made china. Named Onondaga for its home county, O.P. Co. products began sporting a “Syracuse China” back-stamp in 1895. As the first American company to produce high quality vitreous china, Syracuse was a top choice for hotels, clubs, airplanes, trains, cruise ships, and restaurants all over the world.

With a pleasing weight and feel in the hand, the smooth ironstone is sure to maintain a comforting warmth for your favorite brew on chilly mornings. Also a convenient size for an impromptu helping of yogurt, baked dessert or late night ice cream, these cups were acquired as part of a larger collection of matching plates, bowls and soup cups. Originally produced for the rough and tumble of a chaotic diner, we are confident these smart and sturdy cup & saucer sets will become reached-for favorites in your own busy household!
