Sparkling at every turn with brilliantly gleaming silverplate, we are pleased to present this magnificent Victorian Silverplate Engraved Jug in all its stately glory. Gracefully imagined and elegantly designed, this special jug was found at a silver market in the north of England.
Both functional and decorative, this exquisite jug has a pleasing silhouette with its proudly curved spout, swooping handle, and hinged lid. A bold finial decorates the top of the jug, which features intricate repoussé and chased engravings on the body as well as detailed beadwork. Coming complete with insulators on the handle, this jug was designed for serving warm beverages, and would be the ideal holder for coffee, hot water, or perhaps even seasonal warm mulled wine!
Whatever its contents, this statuesque Silverplate Jug promises to be a majestic and enduring addition to your sideboard, tablescape or bar.
