Found at market in the north of England, an antique China & Silverplate Sugar Shaker to sweeten any silver collection. Produced by George Jones & Sons, known for their high quality craftsmanship and understated designs, often inspired by Japanese and Art Nouveau themes, this charming shaker features a lovely swirled china base and is covered with a pattern of dainty pink and yellow roses.
Also referred to as a muffineer, this pretty shaker would have been filled with fine caster sugar and used to add a little extra sweetness to buttered muffins, crumpets or even fresh fruit! How sweet!
