In 1846, a London newspaper shared an elaborate illustration of Queen Victoria's royal Christmas tree, adorned with magnificent glass ornaments and glowing, lit candles from her husband Prince Albert's native Germany. Over the decades, as fashion thankfully gave way to safety, magnificent craftsmen began cleverly duplicating the impression of lit candles with shimmering glass ornaments that could be clipped to the end of an evergreen tree branch to great effect.

Faithfully reproduced from vintage molds, this special set of 6 Glass Ornaments has been rendered in a sweet barley twist candle style. With glitter-encrusted  "flames" and a touch of old-time tinsel encircling each candle base, these special ornaments are truly reminiscent of Christmas past.
