Snow Queen Sabrina Mouse Ornament

Snow Queen Sabrina has just completed her final turn as the Snow Queen in the town's The Nutcracker ballet after a decade-long run as top ballerina. While she's looking forward to turning over the role to a new mouse next year - and having a more relaxed holiday season full of needlepoint and cookie baking for her nieces and nephews - she's making a final nostalgic round of the theater.

She stops to soak in the smells of warm wood and pine-scented rosin, stage make-up and hairspray, the floral scent of celebratory bouquets still lingering in the air. She'll lock up the theater tonight before joining friend Fiona for a post-performance drink and cheese nibbles at Winnie's Wine Bar.

Surveying the theater from the stage one last time, she raises her hand, and says: Good night, fair theater, good night!
