Zig Zag Corkscrew
Zig Zag Corkscrew
$92.00
We are so pleased to offer the authentic, classic French "tire bouchon" Zig Zag Corkscrew.
Designed and patented in 1919 by Jules Bart, this difficult-to-find corkscrew has acquired a sort of "cult following" over the years. It uses an ingenious series of levers that work to reduce the force needed to pull a cork from a bottle of wine. The comfortable and sturdy pull handle has the words Zig Zag pressed into both sides. The parts are all still made in France using the original 1920s molds and presses. On each side of the top lever, just below the pull handle, is a handy bottle-opener. The entire piece is nickel-plated and comes packed in its French industrial-chic box.
The Zig Zag Corkscrew will last forever and be the corkscrew you reach for every time you need to open a bottle of wine with a certain, confident French flair.
(You're not required to wear a beret or speak in a heavy French accent while using the Zig Zag corkscrew, but we've actually found that it can make any occasion that much more amusant!)
6 3/4" long folded, 9" extended. Box measures 7 1/8" x 3 1/8".
