Le Gulvout is located in the Langedoc Roussillon region of France and is an "artisan du goût" - an artisan of taste, and his family-owned company uses only the finest and freshest ingredients to produce the most flavorful fruit and flower spreads.

The black fig Bernard uses for his Provence Black Fig Jam, is known as Bourjassotte or Solliès Fig, and is of outstanding quality. Over the years, he has refined the fruit specifications with his fig grower in Provence. This has guaranteed a perfect ripeness of the figs by selective harvesting. Every second or third day during the harvest, trees are inspected to prevent green or overripe figs being mixed in with the conforming fruit. The outcome is a jam with a taste quality approved by Bernard's "jam fans" throughout France and around the world.
