Found at market in the north of England, we are pleased to present this regimental Antique Silverplate Shooting Trophy. Given over a period of 25 years to recognize the unit's top performer in the rank of Sargeant, the cup is a storied treasure.
Beautifully crafted by Sheffield, England’s long-shuttered Atkins Brothers silversmiths, the award's masculine and well-balanced silhouette is a fitting tribute to the fine skill and warm camaraderie of the competitors.

A volunteer unit within the British Army with origins dating back to 1680, the King's Own Regiment was raised under Charles II for service in British Tangier. Reorganized under numerous reforms with incarnations designed to address British conflicts in colonies and territories around the globe, the King's Own had a proud history of service to the Crown through the mid 1950s.
A lovely award created to build morale and foster marksmanship skill, the rear of the cup lists victorious competitors recognized by name, year of competition and winning number of points. Beginning with 1911 and continuing through the mid 1930s, the gleaming trophy is a rare artifact, surviving a quarter century of rough military conflict around the globe as well as the ensuing century.
