Victorian English Glass Glug Glug Decanter with Sterling Silver Collar
$195.00
Recently found at market in the north of England, we are thrilled to present this magnificent Victorian English Glass Glug Decanter with its gleaming Sterling Silver Collar. With its sculptural globe stopper seeming to rise from the center of an open sterling flower with curving petals, the graceful silhouette of the decanter creates a dramatic focal point. Supporting the open flower, which has been uniquely fashioned to create four distinct pour spouts, a bright collar of shining sterling silver gracefully encircles the rim and neck.
Surely the height of Victorian fashion, this beautiful serving vessel piece gleams from every elegant angle. With a distinctive shape, glug decanters get their name from the "glug-glug" noise they make when pouring into a glass. Crafted by the fine silversmiths at Joseph Cook & Son at their Hiberian Works, Livery Street, Birmingham, this stunning decanter is side stamped with marks for British sterling, Birmingham's assay office and a production year of 1900.
Whether storing a prized cognac, whisky or your favorite liquor with an elegance that befits the most special occasion, this elegant decanter promises to make a wonderful addition to the exceptional home bar. Sure to impress as the centerpiece of your next gathering, it is ready to assume pride of place for generations to come.
