So many decisions! What to wear...restrained, but not too...what to serve...sophisticated, but not fussy...am I required to curtsy?...no, of course not...
Who knew it was so difficult when hosting dinner? Be it the in-laws, the neighbors down the street or a few not-so-minor royals, we'll make one decision exceedingly simple for you: your tea and coffee service.
Found at market in England, this absolutely glorious Antique Silverplate 4-Piece Tea and Coffee Service will provide the glistening finale to any meal. With an elegant domed silhouette, the top of each piece is hand-chased with an intricate stylized leaf design creating a lush border. The set includes a teapot and coffeepot as well as a creamer and sugar basin with rich, gold-washed interiors. The handles of the tea and coffeepot are fitted with their original "bone" insulators preventing the heat of the contents of the pot from transferring into the handles.
Produced by the venerable Elkington silversmiths of Sheffield, the pieces are date code stamped on the bottom with their year of manufacture: 1886. (Teapot is date-stamped 1888.) With a gleaming finish and the gracious elegance of a bygone era, we are certain that this exquisite, heirloom set will be duly noted by your impressed guests and will serve you well for a lifetime of entertaining.
Strictly one-of-a-kind and subject to prior sale. In excellent antique condition. The teapot measures 8.5" x 7.25"H. The coffee pot measures 9" x 8.5"H. The creamer measures 6" x 4.25"H. The sugar bowl measures 4.5" x 4"H.
