The lifting of Prohibition in the 1930s, marked the birth of the glamorous, mid-century era of the cocktail.  In celebration of the cocktail, shakers, cocktail picks and glassware were often decorated with images of roosters - also known as cockerels.  Whether whimsical or classic, the jaunty cockerels happily announced, "It's cocktail time!"

For the well-appointed home bar, this exceptional Vintage Etched Glass and Silverplate Cockerel Cocktail Shaker captures all the glamour of that "original" cocktail era. The glass body of the shaker is beautifully embellished with a handsome rooster and is topped with a gleaming silverplate lid trimmed with a fine "rope" detail.
