With a central bespoke engraving featuring the initials JC and the date June 17, 1897, this gleaming tray is sure to have been bestowed with honor to the recipient in recognition of a special achievement or on the occasion of a marriage. Sold by Pearce, an early incarnation of Leicestershire England-based Pearces Jewellers, the magnificent tray was likely produced for Pearce by Sheffield's esteemed Atkin Brothers or Roberts & Belk.

Founded in 1838 by Henry Pearce expanding to further shops in Huddersfield, Leeds, and Leicester, the family commissioned clocks, watches, and fine jewelry as well as gold and silver wares from expert makers in England and Europe. Made even more lovely by the articulated rope border surrounding the perimeter as well as the sturdy carry handles ensuring safe passage of the tray's contents, this magnificent tray is ready to serve in fine style for generations to come.
