Crafted in England of fine bone china, the three-piece service includes a generous teapot accompanied by its matching covered sugar bowl and cream jug. Each piece is decorated in Wedgwood's striking Colonnade Black pattern, introduced in 1960 and identified by pattern number R4340. Against a warm ivory ground, finely drawn black lines create a rhythmic architectural motif, bordered by bands of tiny geometric medallions. Delicate gilt edging traces the graceful handles, rims and bases, while gleaming gold-tipped finials provide the perfect finishing flourish.

With its repeating vertical lines recalling the columns of classical architecture, Colonnade has a wonderfully tailored quality—formal without feeling fussy and equally at home alongside traditional silver or a more modern table setting.
