Vintage Vérigoud Soda Straw Holder
$95.00
First created in 1954 in French colonial Algeria, this fizzy orange or lemon fruit soda was quick to become an iconic beverage throughout France. The name Vérigoud was a clever play on the English words "Very Good". Spelled out phonetically into French, Very Good becomes Vérigoud!
During the 1950s, Vérigoud Sodas were well-known throughout France for their playful advertising posters designed by one of France's great mid-century graphic artists, Raymond Savignac.
Decorated with Savignac's playful graphic for Vérigoud soda, this highly collectible vintage milk glass straw holder was once provided to cafés to promote the Vérigoud brand. In excellent vintage condition, it will bring its charming delights to your kitchen while keeping a supply of drinking straws cheerfully at the ready! Vérigoud Soda - C'est si bon!
