Vintage Framed Windsor Castle Room Sign

This unusual Vintage Windsor Castle State Room Sign is a wonderfully intriguing piece of royal memorabilia. Fashioned from gleaming brass, the shaped plaque is boldly embossed “H.M. STATE ROOM WINDSOR CASTLE” beneath the Royal Arms, complete with its familiar crowned shield flanked by the lion and unicorn. Smaller crown motifs and a decorative border complete the suitably regal design.

Windsor Castle's magnificent State Apartments have served as the setting for royal ceremony and entertaining for centuries and remain in use by the Royal Family today. Bearing their famous name, this handsome plaque has since been preserved as a decorative object, mounted against rich velvet and set within a handsome giltwood frame.
