Far above the enchanted village, the scene transports us through an illuminated starry sky. From the storied French workshop of Moutet, this inspired design is the work of celebrated illustrator, paper-cut artist, and textile designer Hélène Druvert.

Based in Paris and the Basque Country near Moutet's operation in Orthez, Druvert is revered for her intricate, laser-cut children's books, including one of our shop favorites, Paris, Up, Up and Away. Her signature style includes the creation of sharp silhouettes to create delicate, layered windows into dreamlike worlds. With exacting precision, the Jacquard looms at Moutet beautifully interpret the lines of Druvert's illustration, physically weaving contrasting warp and weft threads to build the exquisite image pixel-by-pixel. This mechanical weaving replicates the sharp, high-contrast edges of the original hand-cut paper shapes, giving the night sky, flying birds, and snowy houses a crisp outline without sacrificing the soft texture of the finely-milled cotton.

A charming addition to any kitchen and especially pretty to line a basket of bread, croissants or muffins fresh from the oven, this cheerful towel is sure to become a much reached-for favorite in your home.

100% cotton. Machine wash cool with like colors.
