Girl Scout Mug
Girl Scout Mug
Founded on March 12, 1912 in Savannah, Georgia, Juliette “Daisy” Gordon Low assembled 18 girls for the first-ever meeting of the Girl Scouts. A believer in opportunities for girls, she wanted to create a place for them to develop themselves physically, mentally, and spiritually. Bringing girls out of their home environments and into the community, Girl Scouts ventured in the open air to hike and camp, learning how to tell time by the stars and take care of themselves and others with first aid. Within a few years, Daisy’s dream for a girl-centered organization was realized.
Today, Girl Scouts of America has a membership of over 2.8 million girls and adults with more than 59 million women as Girl Scout alumnae. Rich in history, the Girl Scouts dedication to societal issues, diversity, and inclusiveness has served the community and greater whole, dedicated to every girl, everywhere.

The Girl Scout Law I will do my best to be honest and fair, friendly and helpful, considerate and caring, courageous and strong, and responsible for what I say and do, and to respect myself and others, respect authority, use resources wisely, make the world a better place, and be a sister to every Girl Scout.
