The city of Bath in South West England was founded in the 1st century AD by the Romans who used the natural hot springs in the area to create thermal spas. During the Middle Ages, It became an important center for the wool industry and in the 18th century it developed into an elegant spa city, famed in literature and art.

During the 18th century, the city leaders endeavored to make Bath into one of the most beautiful cities in Europe, with "architecture and landscape combined harmoniously for the enjoyment of the spa town’s cure takers".

From the Christopher Hotel, one of Bath's historic, long-shuttered 19th-century hotels, we are proud to offer this gorgeous Antique Silverplate Coffeepot. In very good restored condition, the gleaming pot is beautifully crested with the name of the hotel and the name of the proud spa city of Bath.
