A lovely find for sure, this exceptional Antique Silverplate Asparagus Tray was produced by the long-shuttered Daniel & Arter silversmiths of Birmingham, England.
Complete with everything you'll need to present and serve your asparagus in the most refined fashion, the lovely octagonal tray is finished with an applied decorative border and an elegant, raised loop handle for ease of transport. Sitting securely at the base of the fitted handle is a small boat for your accompanying sauce. The tray's removable drain rack neatly fits into the tray's well to ensure your asparagus spears remain perfectly crisp-tender. Completing the set is a pair of lovely asparagus servers.
No stranger to presentation, this magnificent asparagus tray complete with sauce boat and tongs will be an elegant addition to your silver collection.
Strictly one-of-a-kind and subject to prior sale. Circa 1920. Tray measures 12.5” x 11.5” wide by 4” tall. Sauce Boat measures 5.5" x 2"H. The asparagus servers measure 9" in length. In very good antique condition with only a few discreet spots of age along the applied border of the tray as shown in the alternate images.
