Antique Sacré Cœur Jewelry Box

Found at market in Paris, we are thrilled to present this lovely Antique Sacré Cœur Souvenir Trinket Box. Lovingly crafted of gilt metal with beautiful Belle Époque flourishes, the interior of the box is lined in a blue silken fabric intended to safely hold the most precious, favored piece of jewelry.

The beveled glass lid of the box is adorned with a beautifully hand-colored image of the Sacré Cœur Basilica and its commanding view from the top of Montmartre. Embellishing the image of the basilica are thin strips of lustrous mother-of-pearl, applied to give additional depth and a glimmering sheen.
