Produced in sturdy steel and fused with durable porcelain enamel, this handsome marker would have been installed on a building or house exterior at one of the cross-streets intersecting with Rue St. Lazare in the 9th Arrondissement.
This picturesque arrondissement, called Opéra, is located on the right bank of the Seine and boasts notable cultural, historical and architectural landmarks including the Palais Garnier, home to the Paris Opera.
