Victorian Silverplate and Stag Horn Serving Pieces
Victorian Silverplate and Stag Horn Serving Pieces
$52.70
Of course we all are familiar with the basics: knives, spoons & forks. But what about all those other serving pieces that the Victorians were so fond of? The proper Victorian had a specialized utensil for every conceivable food so they would never have to touch anything with their hands - and that led to one utensil more obscure and beautiful than the next!
Behold, the richly storied pieces that we lovingly refer to as Victorian "Pretty Bits"! With dramatic, natural stag horn handles and gleaming silverplate that is adorned with delicate engravings, these pieces are sure to be beloved additions to your collection. With the perfect balance of rustic refinement, they are splendidly, beautifully, wonderfully, obsessively Victorian!
But please remember as citizens of the 21st century we are allowed to break the Victorian rules of etiquette - feel free to use them for other purposes (just imagine how exquisite they will look on your next charcuterie board!). The most important thing is to use them - they will be happy to be called back into service!
Each piece is one-of-a-kind and from the late 1800s to the early 1900s. Please choose specific item from the drop down menu. Hand-wash only with warm soapy water taking care not to allow the piece to soak in water. Dry with a soft cloth. In very good antique condition.
