As if newly transported from the Victorian era, an articulated floral and scalloped banner motif befitting the grand traditions of this regal period drapes the upper third of the stand. Lovely flowers upon a pierced lacy background are interspersed with regal geometric shields that rise from diminutive shells dancing around the border. Carry handles placed for easy transport of your precious bottle are anchored to the base by expertly wrought leaves that extend towards the outer circumference. Along the lower edge a mix of swirling flourishes and stylized rosettes creates a smart border above the extended base which flows outward, balancing the width of the graceful handles. Gorgeous oak, aged to a rich patina, forms the interior bottle platform.

Fashioned in exquisite detail by the fine Sheffield, England silvermakers Martin Hall & Co., the magnificent stand bears a mid-19th century mark, dating from the era when partners Richard Martin and Joshua Hall departed from their respective firms to join forces under the style of Martin, Hall & Co.
