Thank you, Ms. Maxwell, we couldn't agree more! And speaking of invention, behold the rare and highly sought-after, Antique "Igene" Cocktail Shaker. Igene shakers were produced in the early 20th-century by London based manufacturer and engineers, Farrow & Jackson.

Tall and heavy, this magnificent shaker has the original cork stoppers at both the top and side spout. Deceptively spacious, it holds approximately 800 ml – almost a pint of liquid. Turn it upside down and the base unscrews to reveal an inner thermos-style tube. This would have held crushed ice or iced water and acted as a coolant for the cocktail inside the shaker itself. In a word, genius.
