Vintage Canadian Club Whisky Ashtray

$52.00

Hiram Walker & Sons Limited is a distillery that was founded in 1858 by American entrepreneur Hiram Walker in the small Canadian town of Walkerville, Ontario. The distillery's products quickly grew in popularity and by 1882, the company was offering 27 varieties of whisky. That same year, Walker officially changed his whisky brand from “Three Star Club” to “Club”,  registering the name as a trademark in April of 1882. The word “Canadian” was eventually added to the label in 1889, and the product officially became Canadian Club Whisky by 1893.

Hiram Walker & Sons received the Royal Warrant of Queen Victoria in 1898, making it one of the only distilleries in North America to receive this distinction.

Produced in Stoke on Trent, England as a promotional piece for the Canadian Club brand of whisky, this elegant ashtray is transferware decorated with the image of the whisky company's stately headquarter's building in Walkerville. On the rim of the tray is Queen Victoria's coat of arms indicating the brand's Royal Warrant, as well as the Hiram Walker regal logo crest.

A rich memento from a storied brand of whiskey, this handsome ashtray will be a beloved addition to your collection.

Strictly one-of-a-kind and subject to prior sale. 4.75" x 3.75". In good vintage condition with wear to the gold trim and a small, discreet chip at the bottom corner as shown in the alternate images.
