Antique English Silverplate and Leather Flask with Cup
$395.00
Stylish in demeanor and cleverly practical with an eye equally attuned to form and function, these Antique English Silverplate and Leather Flasks with their accompanying cups are the very height of early 20th-century gentlemanly fashion. Traditionally designed for taking a discreet nip in public, these stunning vessels should most assuredly be on display today to receive long overdue admiration.
Produced by premier silversmiths and craftsmen at the esteemed James Dixon and Sons, these handsome flasks were created in 1/8 pint and 1/2 pint sizes from clear glass carefully covered with supple leather. A long window styled within the leather veneer quickly reveals the level of liquid inside while the apparent silverplate base is, in fact, an attractive drinking cup ensuring refreshment is never more than a moment away. A bayonet locking mechanism atop each neck provides easy access and a secure seal.
With silver markings for 1900 and 1910 respectively, these lovely vestiges from the romantic Victorian and Edwardian eras promise to lend antique style and debonair refinement when you're bringing "one more for the road".
Each flask is strictly one-of-a-kind and subject to prior sale. Please make your selection from the drop down menu. 1/8 pint flask circa 1900 measures 4.5"H x 2.5"W x .75"D. 1/2 pint flask circa 1910 measures 6"H x 3"W x 1.25"D.
