Trader Vic's Tiki Charger Plate

$15.00

We are thrilled to have found a collection of the iconic Trader Vic's Signature Charger Plates. Reminiscent of the times of tiki culture and the escapism theme of the restaurant, we are confident that if you close your eyes and listen closely, you'll still hear the sound of the gentle waves lapping at the shore of Waikiki Beach and a ukulele playing somewhere just beyond the swaying palm trees.

In excellent, gently used condition. Measures 12" in diameter. Commercial grade, dishwasher and microwave safe.

Since 1936, the legendary Trader Vic's restaurant and tiki lounge has served up exotic Polynesian cuisine and tropical delights in locations all around the world. Home of the original Mai Tai, Trader Vic's was known for their inventive cocktails and easy island atmosphere.  Having first opened in Chicago in 1957, Trader Vic's became a tropical destination in its original location within the famous Palmer House Hotel. After an amazing 48 year run, the restaurant closed its doors in 2005 when the property was converted into a parking garage. The restaurant reopened three years later in a new location, but sadly never regained its footing and closed its Chicago home forever in 2011.
