With a striking, sculptural quality and graceful luminescence, sprightly hand-painted florals executed in a richly hand-etched style adorn the creamy natural ceramic lid and lower perimeter. As if on the verge of infiltrating the box's precious cargo, a young beetle with its more mature scarab companion scampers playfully among blooms on the base. 

Produced by Keller & Guérin at their Lunéville, France pottery with a date mark from the late 19th century, this romantic box with its generous capacity promises to keep your most special treasures ensconced in high style. A main rival to the behemoth English and German ceramics industries, Keller & Guérin's prolific Lunéville pottery in the Lorraine region and its more well known sister in Saint Clément remained in the Keller family for 137 years until the late 1960s.

Heavily inspired by their pastoral surroundings, hundreds of talented Keller & Guérin ceramicists and painters executed exquisite natural motifs in a distinctly French style, celebrating all manner of flora and fauna. From flowers, insects, and animals to allegorical figures and mythical creatures, the timeless work and charming creations of these renowned artisans remain highly collectible today.
