Handsomely stained French oak forms the sturdy framing around the entire tray. Turned oak handles at both ends are not only elegant, but allow the sizable tray to be gracefully carried from Point A to Point B. And then there is the fanciful forest floor finery that dresses the creamy white ceramic field: a variety of mushrooms are gathered, along with delicate  pine bough tips dressed with cones. The tray's transferware decoration is hand-colored in a soothing, nature-inspired palette, while an unstudied band of earthy green has been applied in spritzdekor-style across the bottom length of the ceramic tray, providing a suggestion of mossy forest floor.
